![]() ![]() Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire - linux native Ravenloft 1: Strahd's Possession - dosbox The Talos Principle: Road to Gehenna - linux native Well I was thinking of posting game by game last year but never did so here's my belated summary of 2020 and some things I leart about myself whilst playing them. Pacific Assault I haven't technically completed in 2020 but on the 1.1., but I beat about 95 % of the game in 2020 so I am counting it toward last year.Īnd yeah, I buy a lot of cheap trash on Steam and then don't like it, don't judge me. Otherwise it would be at least 2 spots higher. The Messenger is a bit of compromise because I liked the base game a lot but hated the DLC with its difficulty spike a lot and it spoiled my impressions of the game. Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time - 6ĥ3. Age of Empires III: Complete Collection - 7Ģ3. Wonder Boy: The Dragon's Trap (2017) - 7Ģ0. Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom - 7ġ8. ![]() First section are game I really enjoyed, the second one those I find good, third one not so good but stil entertaining, fourth are so-so game and the fifth part are games I had little to no fun with.ġ1. So no new game managed to charm me the way those 2 did. Interesting and bit sad is that 2 best games I played this year I have played and finished both of them in the past and this year it was only replay to enjoy them again. That fulfills my goal of getting at least one per week but it is saved by Mega Man games, some dumb tiny visuals novels and few other games that took 5 hours at max to complete each, often much less than that (record is 10 minutes for Igneous but that is outlier). Rock Paper Shotgun described the game as a "ludicrous pleasure to play".I wasn't posting here this year but I decided to do overview for my own sake and for the future generations.Īccording to my very unreliable logs I completed 54 games. Hexcells Infinite was rated 80/100 by New Game Network, who described it as "a unique idea based around the age old concepts of logic". One stated negative was that there was no punishment for making mistakes. They were praised for their simplistic art style and contrastive colours. The games have been commonly compared to Minesweeper. Hexcells and Hexcells Plus were released on 20 February 2014, and Hexcells Infinite was released on 1 September 2014. Hexcells was in development throughout 2013. The art style is minimalistic and has a contrast between the orange and blue tiles. Įach game contains six "worlds" of 36 levels, and Hexcells Infinite contains an extra "infinite" mode with procedurally generated levels. These numbers, as well as the numbers inside the blue or black tiles, may have symbols surrounding them: curly brackets ( ) show that the neighbouring blue shapes are conjoined, and hyphens ( -) show that they are not. Īt the top of each row, column and diagonal in each level there is a number which displays how many blue tiles there are in that section. The objective of each level is to locate all of the blue tiles with the fewest mistakes. Each black tile and some blue tiles display a number which represents how many blue tiles it is bordering. The player left-clicks a tile if they think it is blue and right-clicks if they think it is black. Under each tile hides a shape that is coloured either blue or black. Each level contains a grid of hexagonal orange tiles. ![]() The gameplay of each installment in Hexcells is similar to Minesweeper. ![]()
